Meet The Illustrator
Louie Collins - R.I.P.
12/12/1943 - 07/04/2009
In Julie Collins and Trey Anderson's book How To Make Divorce Fun, not only will you find hilarious advice, but a menagerie of equally hilarious pictures to accompany it. The illustrator of How To Make Divorce Fun is Julie's father, Louie Collins. He is a prime example of what happens to children that are the product of divorce. He had six sets of parents growing up and that should explain his rather jaded outlook on the family scene. Louie was the obvious choice to illustrate this book, as he has been cartooning for Julie since she was two. Those two share the same genetic malfunctions so she knew he was the only one who would "get it." Louie lived in Las Vegas, where he built hot rods and played pool for fun. He also enjoyed strippers and fine scotch. He never had to revert to his youth, as he never mentally got much past nineteen.
